Moses had an older brother, Aaron, and a sister, Miriam.
At some point, Moses married a Cushite woman.  Miriam did not like this one bit!
Both Aaron and Miriam said to Moses, “Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses?  Has He not spoken through us as well?” Numbers 12:2

The LORD could have said, I heard that!  He then spoke to all three siblings and asked them to come to the tent of meeting.  Numbers 12:1-2

God’s word tells us that Moses was more humble than anyone else.  Aaron and Miriam were antagonistic toward Moses, God’s chosen leader.  Better watch out, when you mess with God’s chosen leaders.  Numbers 12:3

The LORD was in a cloud in the Tent of Meeting.  He called Aaron and Miriam to come forward.  Listen to Me!  If there is a prophet among you, I will send you a dream, but with Moses, I speak face to face. Why are you not afraid to speak against My servant, Moses?
The LORD left in anger against the older brother and sister.  Numbers 12:5-9

When the cloud withdrew from over the tent of meeting, Miriam was white with leprosy.  Aaron immediately interceded with Moses for Miriam’s sake.  We have acted foolishly and we have sinned.  Oh do not let Miriam be like one dead, whose flesh is eaten away by leprosy.

Moses cried to the LORD for his sister and the LORD replied, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not bear her shame for seven days?  Let her be shut away for seven days outside the camp, and after seven days she can be allowed back into camp.” Numbers 12:4-14

Miriam stayed outside the camp for seven days.  The people did not move on until Miriam was healed.  Numbers 12:15

God’s Word ~ Alive!
1 Corinthians 13:4
“Love is patient,
love is kind
and is not jealous,
love does not brag
and is not arrogant.”

Think about this:
When you are jealous of anyone
you are not doing what God says to do.
Remember: Love is not jealous.
