We Are Responsible For Our Actions.
Moses and Aaron, his brother, were on different pages in their walk with the LORD.
Moses came down the Mount of Sinai, after spending 40 days and 40 nights in the LORD God’s presence. Aaron spent the same amount of time with the people at the foot of the mountain.
Moses heard a noise, not of war or of defeat, but party time! Aaron was in the midst of the noise and he and the people were worshiping and celebrating a gold calf, not the LORD God.
Moses asked Aaron, I left you in charge, what is happening? Aaron explained about how the people wanted a god they could see and follow. So Aaron asked for their gold rings and earrings. When he collected enough gold, he threw the gold into a fire and out came this calf! Aaron lied! He fashioned the calf out of the gold. Exodus 32:1-4; Exodus 32:21-24
Lies! Aaron should have known better! Moses was angry. First he threw the two stone tablets written by the finger of God down so hard they shattered. Next, he took the gold calf, ground it up, threw it into water and made the people drink it. So much for their “god”. Moses held Aaron and the people responsible for their actions. Exodus 32:19-20
Moses interceded for the people and Aaron before the LORD God, asking Him to forgive their sin. Moses even asked to take the place of the people and be held responsible for their sin. God said no, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.” Exodus 32:31-33
You and I will be held responsible for our sins against God. This is a great reason to keep a short list with God. As soon as you are aware of sin, confess it, and be forgiven.

Jesus Christ’s work on the cross
is the atonement which God accepts.
Do you pray in the name of Jesus, believing He is your Savior?
You should, He died for you and your sins.
It is Jesus who will judge each person for their deeds.
Revelation 20:12
“And I saw the dead, the great and the small,
standing before the throne,
and books were opened; and another book was opened,
which is the book of life; and the dead were judged
from the things which were written in the books,
according to their deeds.”
