God’s Chosen Leaders may suffer.
To the mountain top, to meet the LORD God. The LORD told Moses to bring Aaron, and Aaron’s two sons plus the elders of Israel to the top of the mountain. Only Moses came near the LORD. This was by the LORD’S stipulation. The LORD set aside Moses as a special man. He set him apart from all the other men. Moses was the LORD’S chosen leader. Exodus 24:1-2
Moses went down the mountain to the people and told them what the LORD said. All the people answered, “All the words which the LORD has spoken we will do.” The next morning, Moses built an altar to the LORD. He included the twelve tribes of Israel in the worship service. He read the covenant with God to the people. And the people said the same thing, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.”
Exodus 24:3-8
Up on the mountain top, the leaders and Aaron and his sons, and Moses, these men saw the LORD God of Israel. He was standing and under His feet appeared a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky. These men saw God, yet the LORD did not stretch out His hand against them, they stayed and ate and drank.
Exodus 24:9-12
Moses and those men went down the mountain. Again, Moses was called to go up the mountain along with Joshua, after putting Aaron in charge while he was gone. Moses climbed that mountain and entered a thick cloud.
When you are called by God – you can expect confrontation but continue to be faithful.
The LORD calls us to do what He calls us to do, until death. We are to be faithful to God and His word.

Revelation 2:10
“Do not fear what you are about to suffer.
Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison,
so that you will be tested, and you will have
tribulation for ten days. (future to us)
Be faithful until death;
and I will give you the crown of life.”
Be faithful to the LORD until you die
He will reward His faithful ones.
