2 Corinthians 5:6-11 (paraphrased prayer)

Lord, I come before You to pray. You say to have “good courage” and that while I am alive on this earth as a follower of Christ, knowing Him as my Savior, I am to walk by faith, not looking at my emotions, or physical well-being, or my circumstances.
I am to be of good courage and prefer to be in heaven with You.
For this reason I am to have as my ambition, whether in Your presence or here on earth, to live pleasing to You.

For I know that all people will appear before You at Your judgment seat, Jesus Christ.
You will judge my deeds, whether good or bad in your sight.
For this reason, I am to know the fear of the LORD, to persuade people, that all people are shown to You; and I can hope that my conscience will show me when I sin against You.

I need to remember that fear of the LORD is a good thing and that You desire that fear.
Please help me to live in fear of You, each day, so that I will not willfully sin against You.  Fear that is healthy and righteous in Your sight.

In the name of Jesus Christ, my LORD and Savior, Amen!
