The LORD told Moses, one more plague coming.  After that, Pharaoh will let My people go, he will drive you out completely.  Egypt was devastated by the nine plagues because Pharaoh hardened his heart.   All Egypt suffered because of Pharaoh’s hard heart.  The Lord showed His sovereignty when He caused all the plagues to happen.

Moses was to tell the sons of Israel, ask your Egyptian neighbor for articles of silver and gold.  The LORD gave the Hebrew slaves favor in sight of all the Egyptians.

Moses was greatly esteemed by the Egyptians – by Pharaoh’s servants and the people of Egypt.  After all, Moses was raised as a prince.  Exodus 11:1-3

The LORD reveals the next plague to Moses.  About midnight I am going to cause all the firstborn males of Egypt to die – from the throne of Pharaoh to the lowliest servant girl. In addition, all firstborn of cattle will die too.  There will be a great cry throughout Egypt.  This will never happen again.  Exodus 11:4-6

In the land where the slaves live, not even a dog will bark.   All of this so you will see the distinction I make between Egypt and Israel, said the LORD.

Moses stood before Pharaoh with anger.  He told Pharaoh that all of Pharaoh’s servants would bow down to Moses.  Moses also told Pharaoh, I’m leaving now and your people and all the people who follow you have told me to go.  Then Moses left Pharaoh in “hot anger”.  Exodus 11:7-8

Moses was told by God that Pharaoh would not listen for this reason: My wonders will be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
The LORD went to great lengths to prove Himself God, in Egypt.

God’s Word ~ Alive!

This is a truth from God’s word in Romans 8:8
“and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
Pharaoh could not please God, he had a hard heart.
What about your heart, is it hardened?
