Moses gave another message for Pharaoh from God: “I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may perform these signs of Mine among them.”
Exodus 10:1

It is God’s work, and prerogative to harden hearts – Pharaoh is an example: he hardened his own heart to what God wanted him to do, after days and weeks of catastrophic plagues on the land of Egypt.  God is Sovereign.  He proved that when He hardened Pharaoh’s hard heart further.  Every plague that God sent to Egypt was a judgment and victory over an Egyptian god.

Moses was to tell future generations how God made a mockery of the Egyptian gods.  Why did God use the plagues?  “that you may know that I am the LORD”  Exodus 10:2

Moses and Aaron (the spokesman for Moses), went to Pharaoh, again!  He was told, “Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me?  Let My people go, that they may serve Me.” Exodus 10:3
God warned Pharaoh, again, tomorrow, if you refuse to let My people go, I will send a plague of locusts into Egypt.  Locusts will cover the land and eat what vegetation they find.  In fact, no one will be able to see the ground for the number of locusts on it.  Your houses will be filled with locusts, throughout Egypt.  Pharaoh’s servants said, let the slaves go to worship their God!  Don’t you know that Egypt is being destroyed by these plagues?!  Exodus 10:2-7

God’s Word ~ Alive!

1 Samuel 16:7
“… for God sees not as man sees,
for man looks at the outward appearance,
but the LORD looks at the heart.”
What does the Lord God see in your heart?
