Moses wanted proof from God that he was to go to Egypt and deliver the sons of Israel from Egyptian slavery.

God gave him three proofs, which he was also to show the sons of Israel. Moses would lead them from slavery in Egypt.
1- Moses threw his shepherd’s staff on the ground and it became a snake.
2- Moses put his hand into his tunic at chest height, and pulled his hand out, it was white with leprosy.  Moses put his hand into his tunic again, when he pulled it out, it was healthy flesh.
3- Later in Egypt, Moses took water from the Nile River pouring it on the ground, it became blood.
Exodus 4:4-9  It didn’t look like blood, it was blood.

Moses argued with God – I stutter, I am no talker.  God replied, I make mouths, I make the mute unable to talk, the deaf not able to hear and the blind cannot see.
I will be with you, and teach you what to say.  Exodus 4:10-12

Moses continued to argue, send another messenger, someone You choose.  [Did you notice Moses didn’t think about himself as the chosen messenger!]
God became angry with Moses – Alright, your older brother Aaron is coming to meet you in the wilderness.  He speaks fluently.  You will tell him what I want him to say.  Go meet Aaron, take your staff to perform signs.  Exodus 4:13-17

Moses went home and told his father-in-law what was going on.  His father-in-law, Jethro, said Go in peace.  Jethro blessed Moses with encouragement to do what God said.   Moses left with his wife and two sons and Aaron, traveling to Egypt.

Moses argued with God… it didn’t work!  Your excuses don’t cut it either.  What is the LORD God calling you to do?  Are you arguing with God…about anything?

Luke 14:18
“But they all alike began to make excuses…”

Your excuses don’t cut it.
Are you arguing with God?
