Becoming the person God wants you to be… He uses your circumstances, are you listening? Are you responding to God? There are times I balk. Peer pressures, cultural pressures, my own willful ways, there are many ways to stop listening to the living God and going our own way, aren’t there?
Moses became a shepherd, from prince of Egypt to a lowly shepherd for his father-in-law, Jethro, a priest of Midian.
Moses led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and arrived at Horeb, the mountain of God. Exodus 3:1
Moses was minding his own business when suddenly he noticed a bush ablaze with fire but not being consumed. Odd! Being a curious man, he went closer to the bush. Amazing sight! Moses wanted to know why the bush was not burning up.
How many times do you stop
to see what God is doing in your life?
When the LORD saw Moses turn aside to look more closely, He called, “Moses, Moses.” How did Moses respond? “Here I am.”
Then the LORD began to help Moses know who He was. The LORD said, “Do not come here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” He continued, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.”
Moses hid his face! He was afraid to look at God.
God spoke to Moses in a way he could understand. God will do the same for you! Are you listening?
Think about this… This was the same God of Abraham, the same God of Isaac, and the same God of Jacob… three generations, 400 years earlier. God is still the same today! He has not changed.
God’s Word ~ Alive!
Hebrews 13:8
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday (in the days of Moses)
and today (in your lifetime)
and forever.
(Follower of Christ:
the Lord God is the same in our future in eternity).
