Genesis 41:38-57
Joseph was taken from prison to the highest civilian position in the land of Egypt.
God’s plan was for Joseph to learn life’s lessons through being a slave and then imprisoned for years.
Pharaoh had two dreams which Joseph interpreted, giving the glory to God.
Because Pharaoh recognized Joseph for being a godly man the king promoted Joseph to the position of Prime Minister and put him in charge of storing grain during the seven good years, using it wisely in the coming seven years of severe famine.
The Pharaoh also gave him a wife, and they had two sons.
The famine involved more than Egypt, it also involved many other countries, and the land where Joseph’s family lived. People came to Egypt from many walks of life and many countries, for the famine affected everyone. They went to Egypt for grain. Genesis 41:38-57

‘I am the Bread of life;
he who comes to Me will not hunger,
and he who believes in Me
will never thirst.”
