Faithful Servant
Abraham had a faithful servant.  This servant’s attitude would be good to copy as a servant to Jesus by obedient faith.
Abraham knew it was time for Isaac to be married.  He sent a faithful servant to get a wife for his son.  He sent him to Abraham’s family in Mesopotamia.  The servant was not to look for a wife among the people whom they now lived.  “What if the woman is unwilling to come with me, should I come and get Isaac?”  No!  Abraham’s dependence was on God to get the wife Isaac needed.  If the woman was unwilling to come with the servant, he would be free to go back to Abraham without her.  Genesis 24:1-9

The servant took 10 camels and a variety of goods with him.
Travel would be tiring and tiresome… it was a fair distance.
The servant was obedient, what a good example for me to follow Christ Jesus my Savior, in obedience.
The servant was faithful in doing what Abraham wanted.
Am I faithful in doing what pleases my Master, the Lord Jesus Christ?

Romans 16:25-27
“Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith; to the only wise God through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen.”   underlining added

Are you an obedient servant by faith in Jesus Christ?
