As the world is in turmoil, follower of Christ, we need to turn to the living God. He is greater than dictators, He is greater than our circumstances.
As the LORD said to Joshua before they entered the Promised Land, “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7
LORD, You told Joshua to be strong and very courageous. You also said for Joshua and the people to be very careful to do Your words. We, too, are not to turn from Your word, either to the right or to the left, so we will be successful because we follow You and Your words. Our strength O LORD, is not in our own might, or wealth, or which political party we support. Our strength comes from You.
Exodus 15:2 (paraphrased)
O LORD, You are our strength and our song,
You have become our salvation;
This is who You are! Our God, and we are to praise You.
Not all people can say that You were their father’s God, however we are to extol You.
Hear my prayer O LORD, for we need you these days.
