Sunday Prayer

Psalm 121:1-2  
Lord God Almighty, as the world is in chaos and war is being waged against Ukraine, where do we go for peace within our very selves?

  Your word is a solace in times such as these.  Your word reveals where we can go and in Whom we need to trust.  I do not trust world leaders in this situation.  I do not trust the economies which are being adversely affected.  

  Your word says:
“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;  From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,  Who made heaven and earth.”

  I can appeal to no one greater than You, LORD God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.    

You are my help in these days of uncertainty and fear.  I can look at hills or mountains, even the oceans or gulfs of the world and know that You spoke and they came into being.  Genesis 1:9-10

  Thank You for Your word of comfort and strength.  Thank you for whatever is going on in our lives, You are still the Almighty God who created!
  In the powerful name of Jesus I pray for peace within for Your people.
