Sunday Prayer

Proverbs 29:25 paraphrased

  LORD You are God.  Let me never forget that fact.
  Your word says “The fear of man brings a snare.”
  Am I a people pleaser?  Yes, too many times.  Forgive me.
  Your word also says, “but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.”

  I come to You to trust in You… to trust in You when people around me confront me. 
O LORD, in these days of world-wide chaos, leaders of countries who are without belief in You, who do not trust You to lead them, today, fear is the undercurrent of the world. 
  Help us, as a country, to turn to You in trust!   
In the strong name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
