Genesis 3:1-24
Adam and Eve… they lived in the beautiful garden of Eden. Life was GOOD!
Then came temptation, temptation is not sin, but can lead to sin.
When the temptation is put into action then it is Sin!
Genesis 3:1 Satan throws doubt on God’s word.
Genesis 3:3 Eve’s and our temptation are based on truth but leads away from God. Eve’s excuse added to God’s word, it must have made Eve feel better about wanting to disobey God’s words, and eat from that tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Do we do that to make ourselves believe that it is okay to give into the temptation… when we do, we Sin!
In Genesis 3:2-3 Eve said, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.” Eve added “or touch it”, God never said that.
Genesis 3:5 Satan’s temptation is based on God’s truth but leads away from God.
Genesis 3:6 Satan enticed Eve and we are also enticed to follow Satan’s leading.
Genesis 3:7 Sin realized by Eve when the temptation was given into.
Genesis 3:8 What to do? What to do? Adam and Eve could hear God calling to them in the cool of the evening. They now had the knowledge of good and evil. And they were guilty of sin! Genesis 3:9
Let’s hide! But God found them! God has a habit of doing that, doesn’t He? Finding us where we are!!! And aren’t you thankful?! It is faith in Jesus, God’s Son, Who saves us from our sins.
God’s Word ~ Alive!
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death,
but the free gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
