1 Chronicles 29:26-30
 David’s reign was summarized.
Unity of a nation  
  David, son of Jesse reigned over all Israel as a united kingdom.
  The total of David’s reign: 40 years
          He reigned in Hebron: 7 years
          He reigned in Jerusalem: 33 years
  David died at a “ripe old age, full of days, riches and honor; and his son Solomon reigned in his place.”  1 Chronicles 29:28

  The actions of David are well recorded in the books of 1 & 2 Samuel in the Old Testament.
