Offering made with a whole heart
1 Chronicles 29:1-9
David secured the people’s backing for Solomon, the next king of Israel. Wise dad!
David’s motives: “for the temple is not for man, but for the LORD God.” 1 Chronicles 29:1
David named his personal offering and the offering which came to the nation of Israel from other sources. Gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, precious stones and semi-precious stones. 1 Chronicles 29:2
David’s generous gifts went to the house of his God, provision for the holy temple. 1 Chronicles 29:3
David prepared the gold and silver and the workmen who were willing to be consecrated for this great work. 1 Chronicles 29:4-5
Leaders from all walks of life offered willingly: gold, silver, brass and iron in abundance, even precious stones. 1 Chronicles 29:6-8
Great rejoicing by the people and David for those offerings were made with a whole heart. 1 Chronicles 29:9
