1 Chronicles 23:3-32
David set up new responsibilities for the Levites by replacing their responsibilities which were no longer applicable.
The ark of the covenant would be installed in the temple – yet to be built.

The Levites had been responsible to carry the tent (the tabernacle) and all its contents for worship.  This would no longer be needed.  The temple would replace the tabernacle.

As life moves on, the LORD moves us and replaces our responsibilities with new ones.
Older age becomes a factor many times.  Physical limitations come and our responsibilities don’t diminish – but are replaced.

Followers of Christ, we are important to God, no matter our age, or our limitations.
BUT, we need to gracefully let go of what cannot be done well and let God redirect us – giving us new responsibilities.

Potential responsibilities are without number.  God will direct and guide you to serve Him on a new path.

Again and again, Proverbs 3:5-6 becomes important.
  Listen to God!
  Trust in God!
  Acknowledge God!
He will make your paths straight – He wants us to yield to His will for us.

Consider this  ~

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.”
