1 Chronicles 21:14-15

  God is not a “lawnmower” Father – one who clears the path so adversity does not come to his child(ren).
  When parents protect their children so much – the children cannot develop properly – emotionally, mentally, or even spiritually.  I say spiritually, because children should be trained to rely on the living God in all areas of their lives.

  God sent the angle of the LORD to Israel to carry out God’s judgment on David’s sin.  1 Chronicles 21:1

  70, 000 men died from a pestilence as results of God’s judgment.
  Nothing is said about women or children dying.  Scripture doesn’t include everyone who died due to the pestilence.
  God in His mercy and grace stopped the pestilence.  And the pre-incarnate Lord Jesus Christ “relaxed His hand” of judgment.  1 Chronicles 21:15

  God is still the God of love, let us not forget that He is still the God who is Judge.
  God is pure, without sin and He hates sin!  Sin cannot be in His presence – He wipes it out!

  In God’s love He sent His only begotten Son to earth as a newborn baby.  This baby grew and lived a normal everyday life.  Then that same Man died on a cross.

  When the Lord Jesus died on a cross – He had the weight of every sin on Him from every person.  He paid the price for your sins and mine.  God accepted that sacrificial offering from His Son who was without sin until that point in time.  Proof: Jesus Christ rose from the grave with a physical body – never to die again.

  He gave Himself so He would save you and me from God’s wrath on our sins, God’s just judgment on our sins.

Consider this  ~

God IS love
God IS the Judge of our sins.
We are to trust Jesus as our Savior.
Because Jesus took our just punishment on Himself.
By this we know God is LOVE!
