1 Chronicles 21:17
King David sinned.  He prayed a prayer of repentance and specified his sin.  He was honest and accepted responsibility for his sin, for his very real sin.

  What temptation do you face?
  How do you “handle” temptation?
One way to “handle” temptation is to intentionally turn from it, get busy doing something else.
Go to God’s word and pray God’s word!

Giving into temptation is another way to “handle” temptation and when you do, you sin against God and perhaps others.

When Jesus was tempted, He used God’s word.  He quoted and refuted the temptation to the sin suggested by the devil.  Matthew 4:1-11

Remember: temptation is NOT sin!  Giving into the temptation IS sin.

When you are tempted, when the temptation is strong many times we give into the temptation, don’t we?  Be honest and accept responsibility for your choices!  And pray a prayer of repentance.

Consider this  ~

Jude 1:24-25
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
and to make you stand in the presence of His glory
blameless with great joy,
25 to the only God our Savior,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
be glory, majesty, dominion and authority,
before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
