Conquering one’s enemies ~ sin
1 Chronicles 20:2-8
Conquering one’s enemies is to make them ineffective, crushed, fallen.
When King David went to war, no quarter was lessened.
1 Chronicles 20:2-8
Our enemies – our sins – are deadly and controlling.
We need Jesus to defeat our enemies – our sins.
We need to be freed from our sins because they ARE our enemies. We are sinners – followers of Christ, BUT our faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive us when we confess our sins to Him.
Jesus defeated our sins when He died on the cross. His sacrificial death on our behalf was accepted by God the Father. THIS is why everyone needs Jesus as their Savior.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…”
Jesus not only was victorious over our sins – He also conquered death – He rose from the grave with a physical body! Jesus conquered Satan at the same time!.
