But…
1 Chronicles 20:1
Spring came and kings went out to battle. Joab, King David’s field general, led out the troops and ravaged the land of Ammon and then proceeded to besiege Rabbah.
And Joab struck Rabbah and overthrew it.
“But David stayed at Jerusalem.”
King David set himself up for spiritual defeat by staying in Jerusalem..
Joab set himself up for battle victory by going to war..
How are you setting yourself up? For spiritual defeat? OR for victory?
Whenever there is a “but” – uh-oh, watch out!
Is there a “but” in your life today?
Insert your name is given a God-given responsibility, but insert your name chooses to do something different, shirking insert your name’s responsibility.
God is faithful. We are called to be faithful to God.
Psalm 37:3
“Trust in the LORD and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.”
The LORD knows you, never doubt that fact.
He knows Himself – NEVER doubt that fact.
His strength and power will see you through – never, ever doubt that fact.
Can you recall a time when God was faithful to you?
Consider this ~
Trust God for what He calls you to do.
Don’t be deceived and do something different that will say, but …
Psalm 37:5
“Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.”
Is it time for you to be faithful to God?
