God has not forgotten His covenant
1 Chronicles 16:15-18
“Remember His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,
16 The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And his oath to Isaac.
17 He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant.”
A covenant is an agreement, a promise from God– God states that His covenant is with a thousand generations and that is a loooong time!
God gave Canaan to His chosen people many years ago. He has not reneged on that promise.
Israel has once again established their homeland. This is an unheard of phenomenon. No nation, once it is destroyed has ever come back as a nation. Is today a fulfillment of God’s promise to them? I don’t think so. In the end times, God will bring all Jewish people to their homeland and He has not yet done that!
He has promised that all who place their faith in the Lord Jesus will be saved, period.
God’s word is a promise – and God’s word is forever. He does not forget His promises.
Consider this ~
Psalm 119:89
“Forever, O LORD,
Your word is settled in heaven.”
