There is a teen-ager in my church who is developmentally challenged.  He is an inspiration to me.  He worships the LORD with a high and upraised hand during a praise song.
Unashamedly worshiping God who made him.

Do I raise my hands in worship?  Forgetting what others will think?  Why am I in church?  Because of wanting others to think well of me?  OR because I go to worship the living God? 1 Chronicles 15:11-15

David called the leaders of the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of God into Jerusalem.
David previously learned a lesson the hard way, to carry the ark of God according to God’s instructions and not what seemed right to David.
1 Chronicles 13:7-10

The priests listened to David and consecrated themselves to serve God, His way.  To consecrate is to be sanctified – set apart to God.
The priests carried the ark of God on their shoulders, poles inserted into rings of the ark.
They carefully prepared to carry the ark of God, and they consecrated themselves.

Do you prepare to worship God by setting yourself apart to God before you enter the sanctuary?

Consider this  ~

To worship God, His way – follow His words, seek to know what pleases Him.

Psalm 4:5
“Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
And trust in the LORD.”

James 3:17
“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits,
unwavering, without hypocrisy.”
