Sunday Prayer

Jesus said, “For where two or three have gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.”  Matthew 18:20 NASB

Shall we pray…
Matthew 4:19-20 paraphrased

  Lord Jesus, You called Simon Peter and his brother John to follow You.  I pray for each one reading this prayer to hear Your call and to follow You.

  You said to those two fishermen, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.”
  Help us, as Your followers, to respond to You, and that we also would be “fishers of men.” 

  Simon Peter and John, when they heard You call them to follow You, “Immediately they left their nets and followed” You.
  Help us to follow You, wherever You lead us today!
