Encourage those who mourn
1 Chronicles 7:20-27
Men in the tribe of Ephraim were killed by men of Gath because they tried to defend their livelihood – which were their livestock. 1 Chronicles 7:22 Their fathers mourned those killed for many days and relatives came to comfort them.
Perhaps you have “lost” a child to death – parents, no matter the age of their children, mourn, greatly. How can you give them comfort?
Take a meal, spend time with them, pray for them, pray with them, send notes with Scripture verses. God’s word is used by God to comfort!
Call them! Be a listener. Love them, be sacrificial in spending time with them on the phone or in person.
Who do you know who is mourning the death of a dearly loved person?
Go to lunch. Be a listener.
Who do you need to contact, today? Just because a loved one died in the past few years, that loved one may still be mourned, especially a child.
Consider this ~
Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
Consider writing down the names of mourning people and
how you intend to give them godly comfort.
Then do it!
