1 Chronicles 6:31
David appointed priests to sing and make music in the house of the Lord – the temple, after the ark was placed in the Most Holy Place.
Music was important to David, he sang when he was a shepherd, he sang in the courts of Saul.  He sang when he was running for his life from Saul in the wilderness.  Psalm 57

His songs have come down to present day – we don’t have the tunes but we have the words.
Songs are mentioned in the various Psalms, over and over again.

All the praise goes to God.  All the praise goes to Jesus, the Son of God.  Sing!  Make melody when you are in a dark place.  Sing!, as Paul did at midnight in a prison cell.  Acts 16:25

Sing! When you are filled with joy and contentment.

Consider this  ~

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

Sing! with thankfulness to God!
