God-prepared for every good work
1 Chronicles 6:1 lists the sons of Levi (Levi was a son of Jacob-Israel)
1 Chronicles 2:1; Genesis 34:25
What were their names? Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
The Levites were the priests God designated to serve Him within the family of Jacob-Israel and the nation of Israel.
Aaron, a brother to Moses and a son of Amram. 1 Chronicles 6:3
Each of Aaron’s sons served in different God-given capacities as priests.
Each of them were equipped by God for the responsibilities He gave them.
What do you do for a living? Perhaps you have responsibilities in your church.
NO matter what God calls you to do, it is important. What does God say about different responsibilities?
2 Timothy 2:20-21
“Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor.
21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is inspired by God
and profitable for teaching,
for reproof
for correction,
for training in righteousness;
17 so that the man of God may be adequate,
equipped for every good work.”
Are you reading God’s word for yourself?
Are you reading God’s word to be trained?
Consider this ~
Why are you trying to do God’s ordained job for you,
without looking to Him for instruction?
