History tied to our ancestors
Sons of Simeon – no notable names stand out to me – however, each generation after Simeon is important.
Perhaps you are not among the leaders of your country – you are still important.
One man, in Simeon’s lineage, had six sons and six daughters – that same man had a brother and only had a few sons. 1 Chronicles 4:27
The cities the tribe of Simeon lived in are given until the reign of David.
Some of those cities were important to the history of Israel; such as, Beersheba and Ziklag.
Leaders within the families of the tribe of Simeon are named.
1 Chronicles 4:34-38
Those named increased in numbers and had to find pasture lands for their flocks. They found a “rich and good pasture, the land was broad and peaceful.” 1 Chronicles 4:40
Have you needed to move because of your job? Don’t you look for a safe place to live? 1 Chronicles 4:41-42
Those same peace-loving people were attacked and their enemy took the pastures for themselves. They in turn “destroyed” other enemies and lived there. 1 Chronicles 4:43
