“The sons of Judah were Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur and Shobal.”
1 Chronicles 4:1

“Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez saying, “Because I bore him in pain.”  1 Chronicles 4:9

“Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, ‘Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me!”
1 Chronicles 4:10

Jabez – some years ago, a small book was written called “The Prayer of Jabez”.
What a bold prayer.  It was not a “wish list” kind of prayer.  But boldly seeking God and His blessing with assurance that God would answer that prayer.  God says that Jabez was “more honorable than his brothers”.

How do you and I pray?  Too many times, we pray tentatively – hoping God will even hear us, that is not praying boldly and with assurance, is it?!

When we pray, according to God’s will and His word, we can know that He hears and will answer.
Do you even recognize His answers?  Too many times, we do not.

Consider this  ~

When you pray ~ expect God to hear
expect God to answer –
His way and in His time.
Pray boldly!
