The book of Revelation begins explaining of why Christ came to earth.  Christ came to give us God’s grace and peace.  He was the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead.  Christ died, faithful to His Father and to you and me.  He is the ruler of the kings of the earth.  He is greater than any ruler, more powerful than the greatest leader the earth has ever known. 

  Christ Jesus loved us! and released us from our sins by His blood sacrifice.  Revelation 1:4-5
  Christ has released us from the power of sin, by His going to the cross.

  When we are tempted, He is greater than the temptation.  Cling to Him, follower of Christ, when you are tempted to do that one sin which you want desperately to do, for immediate gratification.  Then if you do that sin, remorse and even repentance follows, again. 

  Be honest and turn immediately to Him Who died for that sin!  And turn away from it, before it ensnares you, again!  Get your mind off of the desire to sin in that way, against your God, follower of Christ.

  Remember: Christ said, “Go.  From now on sin no more.”  John 8:11 to the woman who was caught in prostitution. 

Christ came to release us from the bondage of sin.
Christ gave His life, His all, for your sin.
Christ is your redeemer.
This is Who Christ was!
This is what Christ did for you.

Think about this!

Christ is greater than your temptation to sin.
1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”
