Jesus said, “For where two or three have gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.” Matthew 18:20 NASB
Shall we pray…
Prayer paraphrase of 1 John 1:1-4
Thank You Lord for the letter that is addressed to all believers through the ages since Jesus lived on the earth.
John and the other disciples heard, saw with their eyes, looked at and touched with their hands the Word of Life! The Word of Life which was from the beginning of creation, of time was touchable, knowable and known.
Jesus Christ, His very physical life was shown, John saw and testifies and proclaims to us, the readers in the 21st century, the eternal life, which was with the Father and was shown to those who actually were followers of the Lord Jesus.
They saw and heard and this is the very Person, being proclaimed to us, today. Why? So we too, can have fellowship with those 1st century believers! Lord, we want to think about this! Those believers from long ago and believers today, that is all who know Jesus as their Savior – our fellowship is the with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ!
How blessed we are!
John wrote these words so that we could have joy with those men and women, who knew and followed Jesus, that we would have complete joy.
With joy I pray, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
