Left to set in order
Have you ever been given a responsibility and then left to carry it through? Titus was, by Paul.
Titus 1:5 “For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you,
6 namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.”
Parents have a huge responsibility to raise their children in the faith in Jesus Christ. Fathers are to be the head of the home and mothers are to be a helpmeet to their husband. Children are to respect and obey their parents.
Obedience with love is commendable. Parents, do you love your children enough to cause them to respect you and obey you out of love for you?
Love is a two way street, you love your children and they will love you in return. Respect is also a two way street, you respect your children as individuals and they will respect you in return.
Think about this!
Being a loving, responsible parent is important and will spill over into other areas of your life.
