Jesus is revealed through His many names.  They all point to Jesus as Messiah, the Anointed One of God.
  Jesus = Savior = “He will save His people from their sins.”  Matthew 1:21
  Jesus = Immanuel = “God with us”  Matthew 1:23
  Jesus = Ruler, born King of the Jews = “Who will shepherd My people Israel”  Matthew 2:6
  Jesus = Son of God = God’s Son “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” 
Matthew 2:15
  Jesus = Teacher = proclaimed “the gospel of the kingdom…” Matthew 4:23
  Jesus = Healer = healed “every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.”  Matthew 4:23

  As you read the books of the Bible, look for the other names that Jesus has!
Matthew focuses on Jesus as King of the Jews.  Matthew was writing to the Jewish population.  He quoted many prophets from the Old Testament as to the authenticity of Jesus.
