Seeking: to sin OR the LORD?
Avoidable tragedies – when sin is the reason for the tragedy.
Daily we read of tragedies in our world. Tragedies which are senseless.
God judges sin and keeps His promises.
Sin affects many people – not only the ones committing sin.
How you deal with your own sin – is important.
First acknowledging your sin to God and asking God’s forgiveness – is important.
Secondly, turning from that sin – is important.
Don’t go back and repeat that sin! It is history, that was yesterday.
Lamentations 3:21-25
“This I recall to mind,
Therefore I have hope.
22 The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24 ‘The LORD is my portion; says my soul (mind, emotions and will)
‘Therefore I have hope in Him.’
25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.”
Think about this!
So! Are you seeking to sin or are you seeking the LORD?
