Knowing God
The book of Isaiah is loooong! Therefore, Isaiah is known as a major prophet.
Isaiah gave many prophecies of Messiah (that is Jesus). The first time Jesus came, He came as a baby and as the Suffering Servant (Read Isaiah 53 of a graphic description of Christ’s suffering on the cross.)
Isaiah’s prophecies include Messiah (Jesus Christ) coming to earth a second time as the Conquering King.
All prophecies of Messiah’s first coming (1st Advent), were fulfilled. Every one of God’s words happened! Astounding impossibilities – but the impossible became the possible. They were all fulfilled – by one Man, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
For this reason, we can be certain that all prophecies of Christ’s 2nd coming (2nd Advent) – will happen!
Isaiah chapters 1-39 tell of God’s character and judgment.
Isaiah chapters 40-66 tell of God’s comfort and redemption.
Think about this!
How do you think of God?
Read His word to really know what to think.
