Saul’s question:
(NASB) Acts 9:5 “…Who are You, Lord?”

Saul asked an honest question… and he received an honest answer.

Jesus’ answer and specific directions:
(NASB) Acts 9: 5-6 “…I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.
6 but get up and enter the city (Damascus), and it will be told you what you must do.”

Saul’s companions:
(NASB) Acts 9:7 “The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.”

The men heard the voice of Jesus, but they did not see Him.  These men were on the same mission as Saul… to arrest followers of Christ and take them back to Jerusalem for trial and imprisonment.

Saul’s obedience:
(NASB) Acts 9:8 “Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus.”

Saul walked, was led by the hand into Damascus.  Saul believed what Jesus said to him and was obedient to His instructions.

As you read God’s word, do you believe what you read or hear in a Biblically based sermon?  Do you put God’s truths into practice in your life?

Saul’s fast:
(NASB) Acts 9:9 “And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.”

Saul was led to a house and then to a room where he fasted… without sight, without food, without drink… for three days.

As you wait on God in your life… do you intentionally fast in order to “see” Jesus more clearly, to understand God’s leading in your life and through your life?

Fasting is to do without something in order to pray… fasting is to replace an activity so you can pray.  How do you fast?  With flippancy, arrogance, of thinking you are better than someone else because you are fasting?  Why do you fast?  Is it to look good to other believers or to wait on God?

~ Take it to heart ~

Saul had been blinded but he was obedient to the instructions he heard from Jesus… are you blind and need to “see” Jesus and then obey His word to you?
