Peter was preaching to a crowd in Jerusalem and he didn’t soften his words.  They were pointed.  He told the gathered crowd about the promise of Jesus and His resurrection.

Peter referred to the fathers of those people in that crowd…Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  Those three men had faith in God the Father.  That same God glorified His Son and Servant Jesus.  Jesus was the One whom people in this crowd delivered to and disowned in the presence of Pilate, the Roman governor of Jerusalem, just a few months back.  Pilate declared Jesus “not guilty” of the charges the Jewish leaders brought against Him.  But the Jewish crowds disowned “the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted” release.  The crowd pressured Pilate and used the threat of political Roman power against him to crucify Jesus.
(Acts 3:13-14)

The Prince of life, the Lord Jesus Christ died on a cross.  But God raised Him from the dead.  And the proof?  Peter and those believers with him witnessed and spent time with the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.

What causes you to disown the Lord Jesus?  Pilate yielded to political pressures.  Pressure of family, the pressure of work, the pressure of friends, the pressure of ….

The Prince of life was raised to life from the grave by God.  Death could not and did not defeat Him.  Peter, the other apostles and other believers saw the risen Christ Jesus, the Holy and Righteous One in the flesh.

Today, you can know the risen Savior…do you?  Today, you can know that eternal life in His presence is certain and for sure.  When you receive Him as your Savior and Lord, you are given His Holy Spirit to live within you.  What a gift that God gives you and me.

Today, receive God’s Anointed One as the Prince of life and as your Savior.

How?  Pray agreeing with God that you are a sinner.  Tell God that you want to turn from those sins and ask Him to forgive you for those sins.  Tell God that you believe Jesus Christ is His Son and that Jesus died for your sins.  That you believe God raised Jesus from the dead to life!  Ask Jesus to come into your heart and to be in control of your life.  Tell God that you want to trust Jesus as your Savior and follow Him as your Lord from this moment on.  Pray in the name of Jesus… and if you do, He is NOW your Savior!

You can trust His words to be true for you.  God’s plan is for you to know Him, to love Him, to follow Jesus as your Savior.

~ Take it to heart ~

Today, many people ignore, reject or disown the Anointed One, the Messiah.  Please, please receive Him into your life…for it is for eternity.
