For the followers of Christ Jesus – where is our confidence to be placed?
Our confidence should never be in ourselves – we fail too many times.
Our confidence should never be in another person, government, or religion – if they haven’t “messed up” they will, they are people!
(NASB) Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Our confidence should never be in our works, our wisdom, our wealth, position, power, education or scientific acumen – do you and I need to re-think from where our confidence is to come?
Of what can you and I be confident and have complete assurance so we can truly worship and exalt the living God of the Holy Bible? We are to be in right standing (righteous) before the Lord God in His presence.
Only through faith in Jesus Christ can anyone have such bold confidence because Jesus is the way, He is the life, He is the truth. Only through faith in Him is there life forever and ever in heaven. (John 14:6)
When followers of Christ die, what can be our confidence? Jesus Christ was physically resurrected and we also will have our physical bodies in the presence of God. We will recognize each other.
(NASB) Job 19:25-27 “As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
And at the last He will take His stand on the earth.
26 ‘Even after my skin is destroyed,
Yet from my flesh I shall see God;
27 Whom I myself shall behold,
And whom my eyes will see and not another.”
Where you and I place our confidence today will affect our eternity!
(NASB) Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
Jesus said:
(NASB) John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”
~ Take it to heart ~
Where is your confidence? Your faith and mine is to be in Jesus Christ the resurrected living Messiah, He is God’s Anointed One and He is our Lord and Savior.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
