What if…right then?
Jesus had ascended into heaven; the apostles were given a promise that He would return in the same way that He had left. Then the apostles did what Jesus had told them to do, remain in Jerusalem until the power of the Holy Spirit would come upon them.
(Acts 9-11, 8)
Those men hurried back to Jerusalem and they went up to an upper room where they were staying. Eleven men: Peter, John, James and Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew (Nathanael) and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. (Acts 1:13)
(NASB) Acts 1:14 “These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.”
They were of one mind and they devoted themselves to prayer! (Acts 1:14)
When you are with other believers – on what do you focus?
If in a committee meeting – there is work to be done.
What if…there was prayer concerning the items on the agenda…right then?
If you are in an informal setting and you are chit-chatting or shooting the breeze.
What if…you prayed for each other…right then?
If you are in a Bible Study and/or a Sunday School class and prayer requests abound.
What if…you prayed for each request…right then?
Prayer is to depend on God for the answers, not telling Him what to do or even how to do it. God’s answers are always in His time. [How patient are you for] His timing as you wait for His answers and His will to be done?
What if…you waited on Him with expectancy to see how He will answer…right then?
~ Take it to heart ~
What if…you and I trust God for the answers…right now?
