Jesus did not let this “teachable moment” slip by, even though He was weary at the end of the day.  John 4:6

The disciples were sent into the nearest town, Sychar, Samaria for food.  In the meantime, Jesus had an important conversation with a Samaritan woman.
John 4:7-26
The woman left her waterpot and went into town when the twelve disciples came to Jesus with food.  John 4:28
The disciples said when they returned to Jesus, “Rabbi eat.”  John 4:31 NASB
Jesus replied, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.”  John 4:32 NASB
Puzzled, the disciples asked, “No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?”
John 4:33 NASB

Sowing
Jesus explained the urgency which each follower of Christ needs to know – Today! is the time to plant spiritual seed into others’ lives.

NASB John 4:35 “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest?’  Behold, I say to you (insert your name), lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
36 ‘Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
37 ‘For in this case the saying is true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’
38 ‘I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labors.’”

Harvesting
The fields of people are ready to hear; thirsty and hungry to respond to God in their lives.
In God’s time, sowing His truth and harvesting those who respond to Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

~ Take it to heart ~
