What makes you sad? I think Jesus was saddened by the following fact:
NASB John 1:11 “He (Jesus) came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.”
Jesus! ~ came to God’s chosen people – and He, the Son of God, was not received … those are some of the saddest words, would you agree? Or have you not received Jesus too?
NASB John 1:12-13 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Jesus! ~ Word of hope – greatly encouraging! “But as many as received Him – to them He gave the right to become children of God.” Good News!!! Shout that from the roof tops!
Those who received Jesus Christ into their heart and life have one Father. This is through faith, through belief in the name of God’s Son. His name is Jesus.
Follower of Christ – we are born of God! We have many brothers and sisters – we are God’s children, by faith in the Lord Jesus as our Savior.
Jesus never limited who could become the children of God. God’s word only says,
NASB John 1:12-13 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”
~ Take it to heart ~
Joy by faith in Jesus!
NASB Romans 10:9-11 “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”
