When you want to put an emphasis on a particular thought, how do you do that?

Writers may bold a word or phrase, or italicize it, or even put the whole WORD(S) in capital letters, or underline what they desire to emphasize.

When you are speaking, do you raise your voice to a higher pitch or level?  Maybe, like John, you repeat the phrase or word.  The older I become, when I want to get my point across, I many times repeat myself. (and those listening think, “getting older, can’t remember”, and they may be right. 😊)

There is one chapter in the Bible which explains creation.  Genesis 1
NASB Genesis 1:3 “Then God said…”  He spoke and things appeared!  throughout the known universe.  The stars, the sun and the moon, the earth and all that they contain.

NASB Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God…”  That is a bold statement.  That is also a true fact.

Think about this with me…
NASB  John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He (the Word) was in the beginning with God.
3 All things came into being through Him (the Word), and apart from Him (the Word) nothing came into being.”

The Word is Jesus Christ, Messiah!

In awe, we too can think about “and the Word was with God” in the beginning!

In awe, we too can think about “… and the Word was with God,” in the beginning.  Amazing too, is the phrase “and the Word was God.”

Before anything, anything, existed – Jesus, the Word was with God and the Word was God!

This is the God I worship. The God I can trust in and depend on.  He knows how the earth came into being.  Why?  Because He was there!  In fact, the Word, gave being to creation.

NASB John 1:3 “All things came into being through Him (the Word), and apart from Him (the Word) nothing came into being.”

The writer John, used repetition to emphasize the Lord Jesus Christ and Who He is!
Follower of Christ – we have an amazing God!

NASB Acts 2:7 “They were amazed and astonished…”
Like the first century people, are we amazed and astonished at the work of God in our lives?

~ Take it to heart ~

NASB John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Followers of Christ, we have an amazing God!
