Who is Theophilus?  Theophilus means “friend of God”.  Is that you, a friend of God?  Me too!  Other than that we really do not know who Theophilus was, Dr. Luke considered him a friend. 

When I meet other believers in Christ Jesus, most of the time there is a connection… a friendship based on our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior.

The Books of Luke and Acts could very well be said to be written to us, friend of God, follower of Christ.

The living God of the Holy Bible continues to meet our needs, one day at a time.

His words are to us, to show us His love for us.  We serve and worship the living God!…
His name is Jesus.

Who else was called by God as His friend?  Abraham, the patriarch of the Jewish people  – not bad company to be in.  James 2:23
