How do you respond to an idea or what someone is telling you and you do not understand?
Perhaps you think, ‘that’s way beyond me’, ‘it’s too deep for me’, ‘I hear the words you are saying, but I don’t comprehend them.’

The twelve disciples were right there, they heard what Jesus was saying, but had no idea what He meant.  Luke 18:34

Only in looking back, could those same men understand what Jesus was saying.  And that was from personal experience of seeing Jesus die outside the walls of Jerusalem.

Just what did Jesus say?
NASB Luke 18:31-33 “… ‘Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things which are written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.
32 ‘For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and mistreated and spit upon.
33 and after they have scourged Him, they will kill him; and the third day He will rise again.’”

Knowing His disciples did not understand His words, He said them anyway.
It would be important for the disciples when they looked back in hindsight.  THEN they understood what Jesus said.

When you don’t understand your emotions – believe Jesus is waiting for you to turn to Him.
When you don’t comprehend events – trust Jesus in those days.
When you cannot “get” what God’s word is saying… have faith in Him.
Faith that is real, not blind faith, but believing faith in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Even though you may not understand what is happening in your life, in your world.

God is the Faithful God.  He is the living God whom you can safely believe.  Believe in Him and trust Him for each day, one day at a time.

~ Take it to heart ~

Hindsight gives understanding.

In the meantime, believe and trust the Lord Jesus even when you don’t understand.
