Yeah, me too!
Have you ever done something which was honoring to God and was “put down” by others?
Yeah, me too!
Were you rebuked as if you did something wrong? Publicly “told off”? Yeah, me too!
At the time did you feel “small”, as if you were off track, humiliated? Yeah, me too!
And to their shame, these people were believers in the Lord Jesus.
When Jesus was talking to crowds of people some mothers with babies came to Him and His disciples rebuked them, publicly. Can’t you hear these disciples, wanting to give Jesus rest from being bothered by moms with babies??
Luke 18:15
What did Jesus say in response?
“But Jesus called for them, saying, ‘Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
17 ‘Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” Luke 18:16-17
Jesus welcomes and blesses you when you come to Him.
Jesus commends child-likeness – be like a child and receive the kingdom of God with simplicity and faith.
~ Take it to heart ~
Aren’t you glad that the living God accepts us when we come to Him with simplicity, with child-like faith? Yeah, me too!
