God’s word, what do you believe?  Is it based on the fact that God is God and His words are truth?

Many people believe that much in the Holy Bible is — myth or fiction.
What do you believe about God’s word, the Holy Bible?

Jesus told many parables, clearly stories with a point of teaching in them… such as The Good Samaritan; about being a good neighbor.  Luke 10:30-37

Sometimes He used a comparison such as comparing the kingdom of God… to a mustard seed; or like leaven.  Luke 13:18-21

One time He used names of people and described them.  He also described heaven and hell in this same factual story.  This story is of a rich man and poor, sore-encrusted Lazarus.  Both men died.  The rich man went to Hades. The poor man, Lazarus went to the bosom of Abraham.  Luke 16:19-31

Jesus spoke as if this story were a true story.  He gave descriptions and names. He described Hades and heaven.
