Jesus appealed, to the crowd who followed Him and to whom He spoke.  He included every person there with a question.
“What man among you…”  Luke 15:4

What about us in the 21st century?  Jesus could very well ask us the same question… ‘What person among you, if you owned a hundred sheep and one has become lost, what do you do?’
(paraphrased)  Luke 15:4

Do we treat the one person who leaves as if they don’t matter?  Do we let them go away as if they are not wanted, or treat them as if they are refuse, trash, throw-aways?

Or do you do as the shepherd in the parable Jesus told, go looking for that one sheep?  Not forgetting about the other 99, but putting a value on the one who is vulnerable?  The one who needs a friend, the one who may not be socially acceptable, the one who you really don’t want to befriend. Luke 15:4

My friend, Jesus, came looking for you and for me.  He sees each person as valuable.  He does not ‘put-down’ or make light of any person.

Remember, He became the blood sacrifice that each person needs to be saved.

By faith in Him as our Savior, we are acknowledging that we need Him.  And each person needs Him.

Should we not “see” others in need of Jesus as their Savior-Shepherd?

Who do you need to call, have lunch with, connect with, in order to let them know they are valuable to you?

~ Take it to heart ~

Jesus loves the vulnerable, do you?
