One Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in a synagogue.  A woman was there.  She was bent double, she could not stand up.  She had been in this physical condition for eighteen years, and her problem was caused by a spirit.
Luke 13:10-11

Jesus saw her and called her to come to Him.  Think about this, she could not look up, always looking down, or side to side.  This position would have affected her breathing and caused her other problems.  Eighteen years!  We are not told her name, we don’t know where, or how, she lived.

What we do know, Jesus had compassion for her.  “Woman, you are freed from your sickness.” Luke 13:12

What has you in bondage?  What is imprisoning you?  From what do you need to be freed by Jesus?

After Jesus talked with the woman, He laid His hands on her and immediately, immediately, she was made well.  Luke 13:13

What did that woman do?  She straightened up to her full height for the first time in 18 years!

What did that woman do?  She began glorifying God.

Do you begin to glorify the living God who gives you freedom?
