The crowds
Crowds of people are uncomfortable to be in.  Crowds are like a rushing river, sweeping people along.
What did Jesus do about jostling, sweaty, rude crowds of people who were “stepping on one another”?

Why, He did – – – nothing!

He was focused on driving His point home on hypocrisy to His disciples.
Luke 12:1-2

The hypocrisy
Jesus decisively, publicly, and without apology, denounced religious leaders’ hypocrisy.
He publicly exposed them for the heavy burdens they levied against the people.  Luke 11:37-54

Jesus was unrelenting in His description of the Pharisees’ hypocrisy.  Hypocrisy will be revealed; it does not stay hidden, it will be exposed.

What is whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops.  Luke 12:2-3

No one will get away with hypocrisy… leaders at any level, anyone who wears a mask to cover their motives will have the mask ripped off.

~ Take it to heart ~

A question we need to ask ourselves – am I a hypocrite?
Am I wearing a mask to hide my motives?

“Lord, show me where I am a hypocrite… forgive me and give me courage to change my motives to please You.  In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”
