Pointing to the LORD our God
Follower of Christ – do your words, your actions point others to the living God, God your Savior?
Solomon’s words and actions, at the beginning of his reign as king over Israel, were godly. They pointed to the living God.
Solomon’s life, his work, his attention to detail in building the house of the LORD in Jerusalem, and the details in his own home – all were a witness to God in his life.
The Queen of Sheba visited Solomon because she heard of his wisdom, his wealth and traveled to see these wonders for herself.
NASB 1 Kings 10:9 “Blessed be the LORD your God who delighted in you to set you on the throne of Israel; because the LORD loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”
Do others point to the living God because of your love for Him?
Do others see your actions and words honoring the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit?
~ Take it to heart ~
Your motives will be revealed – if you are pointing to the LORD your God – or not!
